Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal Release of Liability

By engaging in any dog training, boarding, socialization, walking, or similar activities with Hudson Jacobson, operating as Dogology SoCal, I acknowledge that these activities come with inherent risks. I take full responsibility for myself, my dog(s), and any individuals accompanying me during these activities. I agree to release Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal, along with its employees, agents, affiliates, property owners, and other clients (including their dogs), from any liability or claims arising from injuries, damages, or incidents during participation.

I further agree not to pursue legal action of any kind, whether civil or otherwise, in the event of injury, illness, or fatality involving myself or my dog(s) resulting from services provided by this business. I understand that working with dogs may involve risks such as bites, scratches, or cuts, and I accept the possibility of accidents such as tripping, falling, or being knocked over, which could cause serious injuries. I agree to take precautions, including wearing appropriate attire and footwear, to minimize these risks.

By enrolling my dog(s) in services with Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal, I confirm that they are in good health and have received all necessary vaccinations or equivalent treatments, as verified by my veterinarian. Should my dog(s) become ill or injured during training, boarding, or other activities, I authorize Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal, and their team to contact my designated veterinarian or seek emergency care if my regular vet is unavailable. I accept full financial responsibility for any veterinary expenses incurred, including emergency care, and agree to reimburse the business for these costs. I also acknowledge that Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal, and their staff are not liable for medical decisions made by veterinary professionals, including decisions regarding euthanasia or other critical treatments. By signing this agreement, I authorize such treatment and agree to settle veterinary fees within 48 hours.

If I fail to collect my dog(s) within 72 hours of the scheduled pickup time, I understand that they will be considered abandoned, and additional boarding fees will apply. In such a case, legal custody of my dog(s) will transfer to Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal, with the discretion to retain them, transfer them to a shelter, or rehome them. I forfeit any claims to my dog(s) and waive all rights to seek legal action against the business or its affiliates regarding this matter.

I understand that some programs may not be suitable for all dogs, and Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal, reserves the right to exclude any dog from participating if deemed necessary.

I acknowledge that Dogology SoCal reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services for any dog displaying aggressive, dangerous, or disruptive behavior that poses a risk to other dogs, staff, or participants. I understand that it is my responsibility to disclose any history of aggression, biting, or behavioral issues before enrolling my dog(s). Failure to disclose such information may result in the immediate termination of services without a refund.

Furthermore, I agree that if services are terminated due to my failure to disclose relevant information or my inability to follow through with training recommendations and safety precautions, I am prohibited from posting reviews, testimonials, or making public statements that misrepresent the nature or quality of services provided by Dogology SoCal. Any such actions will be considered a breach of this agreement.

I acknowledge and accept all risks associated with participating in services offered by Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal. I agree to release and hold harmless the business, its employees, agents, affiliates, property owners, and other clients (including their dogs) from any claims, losses, damages, or injuries, or expenses, including attorney fees. I will not hold the business or its associates liable for any incidents or damages.

I grant permission to Hudson Jacobson, Dogology SoCal, and their team to take photos or videos of me and/or my dog(s) during sessions. I understand these may be used for marketing, commercial use, or other business purposes and remain the property of Dogology SoCal. If I do not wish for these materials to be shared publicly, I can opt out by selecting the appropriate option. In such cases, the materials will only be used internally for purposes like tracking progress or staff training. Opting out does not alter any other parts of this agreement.

I agree to provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a lesson. Failure to do so will result in my being charged the full session fee. I understand that I must complete my program within its designated timeframe (e.g., a five-week program within five weeks). A grace period of up to two additional weeks may be allowed for unforeseen circumstances, except for boarding programs. If I do not finish the program within this timeframe, I forfeit any unused lessons without a refund.

I acknowledge that Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal, will not be held liable for delays, cancellations, or service interruptions due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

I am responsible for asking questions and using my judgment throughout the training process. I understand I have the right to decline any activity that I or my dog are uncomfortable with and will not be pressured into participating in anything that feels unsafe.

I acknowledge that due to the nature of dog training, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed, and Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal, cannot be held responsible for negative results during or after training. I also understand that continuing my dog’s training after completing the program is my responsibility.

I understand that training methods and materials used by Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal, are proprietary and confidential. I agree not to reproduce, distribute, or share these methods or materials without written permission from Hudson Jacobson.

I agree to pay for all services in advance, as all payments are non-refundable. Accepted payment methods include cash, card, PayPal, and Venmo. I authorize Hudson Jacobson, DBA Dogology SoCal, to securely store my payment information and charge my card for future services as needed.

By signing or typing my name below, I confirm that I have thoroughly read and understood this agreement. I agree to adhere to the outlined policies and accept all terms. Additionally, I certify that the information I have provided is accurate and truthful.
